Well, life has suddenly become a bother. There is a rift that has apparently been growing in my gaming group, and it looks like it has become slightly irreconcilable. Several of the people in my group have decided that they don't like another member of the group that I recently added in January, when one of our other members left. So, they've asked me to ask him not to come back next week. This isn't the first time that someone has talked to me about he is annoyed by this other person, but it is the first time that several people have let me know about it. So, I will go to ask him to leave, which is not something I want to do, but something I should do, since I consider myself his friend, at least, and he should hear it from me, and not the current DM, who was the other nominee by the people who want this guy gone.
However, when I approached one of the other people in this matter, I was asked if I really want to know. Of course I want to know! Just play straight with me and don't yank my chain, dick head! So I'll probably stop by the guys office and let him know what the deal is. Hopefully he won't be too outraged.

It's been over a month. Suppose something should be said.
The house buying saga is over.
The house saga has just begun. We just spent an amazing amount of money already this month on a washer, a dryer, a grill, and other miscellaneous things. And we still should buy a kitchen table and chairs, a lawn mower, a file cabinet, and some other miscellaneous things. A ladder wouldn't hurt. Outdoor furniture would also be nice. Boy is Citibank going to dig us. But on the other hand, the house is really coming together, and things are working out well. We should be having a party at our house around Memorial Day to have some sort of housewarming partry. We're very happy with the house, so the party will be held with a bit of pride on our part, I think.
In other news, the wife got a new job! It's all very exciting, since it hopefully means a better environment for her. I'm very happy for her. I hope it works out.
Other than the house, I've been busy working, running (up to 35 miles a week now), gaming, and generally pretty happy. My running is going extremely well, and my times are dropping per distance pretty rapidly. I'm looking forward to trying to maintain an 8:15 pace for the half marathon that is coming up in June, that would get me home in about 108 minutes or so, or about 1hr 48 minutes. It'll be a good warm up for Detroit. Hope I can find some other races to run during the summer. maybe a warmup 8k or something to run on a Saturday am. The concept of me running a marathon is coming closer to reality! It's so cool to think I might actually do it!
Both games I'm playing in are going well. They are pretty entertaining, and both DMs are working their asses off to make a good game. I enjoy the Forgotten Realms game a bit better, but both games are equally enjoyable. I do think we are in line for a group split sometime soon, or at the very least, we will lose a player or two. I get the sense that there is some discontent. We'll see. It all comes down to differing styles of play, mostly.
